DAY 1: Arriving in Rwanda
Upon arrival, the guide will pick you up from the
airport, then have a chance to explore one of the
safest and cleanest cities in the world. According to
your interest and arrival time; you may visit art galleries,
museums etc. Then drive to your hotel with a
spectacular view over the city.

DAY 2: Genocide Memorial Site - Akagera NP
The guide will pick you from the hotel after breakfast
to visit the Kigali Genocide memorial, where you will
understand the growth and progress the country made
ever since the 1994 genocide against Tutsis. Then drive
towards Akagera National Park upon arrival, enjoy a game
drive where you can observe different animals including elephants,
giraffes, hippos, buffalo, zebra, and white and black rhinos
as they engage in their usual activities. From there head to your
lodge for a night over getting ready for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 3: Full Day Game Drive
A special full-day game drive in Akagera National Park to have
a chance to explore amazing species that inhabit this park especially
in search of the big 5 (i.e. Leopards, Lions, Rhinos, Buffaloes, and Elephants).
Take the time to navigate the savannah landscapes characterized by woodland, swamps, and low mountains which creates a beautiful and rich home for the wildlife. After the wildlife experience, take a short drive to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 4: Uganda - Bunyoni lake
Embark on a drive north, crossing to uganda, to one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, lake Bunyonyi. You'll go for a relaxed boat drive, embrace the gorgeous view and try to spot animals.from there continue the road all the way to the volcanes area,to your beautiful lodge on the bank of a lake, where you will enjoy dinner and rest in preparation for gorilla trekking.

DAY 7: Napoleon Island - Congo Nile Trail
Enjoy your breakfast with the view of lake Kivu, take a short boat ride to visit
Napoleon Island, a beautiful island in lake Kivu which is a home to a wide
variety of birds,bats and plants. There you will enjoy a short hike, and the great
Lake Kivu view from the hilltop. Then begin hiking the famous Congo Nile Trail, the trail allows you to explore local communities, including villages, churches, and schools through the tropical Kivu Belt Region on the shores of Lake Kivu and interact with the locals to appreciate their way of life. Today’s hike will take you along paths with breathtaking views of rolling hills, the lake, and the vibrant cultural villages. Continue as you drive along the lake to the southern part of the lake and the rainforest edge, one of the oldest forests in the world.

DAY 8: Chimpanzees trek - Canopy walk
Super early in the morning you will go to see the chimpanzees,
the great and so close to us genetic apes, native to the forest.
As you explore the tangled wild ancient forest,
you may have a chance to spot and sight the species
inhabiting this home, especially the different varieties
of birds and the monkeys jumping from tree to tree.
After spending an hour with them drive to very old part
of the forest for the Canopy walk on one of the longest
and highest bridges in Africa. From there, you can really
feel how massive and magnificent this Natural Forest is.

Days 5 - 8
DAY 5: Gorilla Trekking - Dian Fossey Center
A spectacular morning, head to the park office for a briefing and start a once in a lifetime adventure with some of the most powerful, amazing, rare and gentle human-like animals. After briefing, where you learn about your assigned gorilla family, head into the park for trekking. Once located, spend time with them as you see them eat, play around, and take pictures of them. You will stay for only an hour for conservation reasons before returning back for lunch and reflecting on this once in a lifetime experience. Afterwards, you will cross the border back to Rwanda. Then visit the Dian Fossey center in Kinigi, one of the living memories of Dian Fossey and learn a lot regarding mountain gorillas and their conservation, as well as Dian’s dedicated lifelong pursuit of their safety. Have insights on mountain gorillas and their protection, forest rehabilitation and study about her life in the volcanic mountains through exposition.

DAY 6: Golden Monkey Trekking - Night Fishing
Early in the morning head to the park headquarters for a briefing and start a great adventure of golden monkey trekking in search of the monkeys known for their unique golden fur and the large hoops. Once located, spend time with them as you watch these cheeky playful monkeys feed on the nearby flora as you film them. From there you will take a short drive heading west.
Just before the sun comes down you will have a painting session next to the lake then join the fisherman with their traditionals boat heading out for their daily night fishing accompanied with their unique songs.

Days 9
DAY 9: Departure Day
The final day has arrived, after your breakfast you will
be transferred to the domestic airport for a domestic flight
back to kigali. Once you reach Kigali, you will find your
guide waiting for you, then enjoy a city tour where you may
have final stops and visit the vibrant Kimironko market to
pick up some last-minute souvenirs, then drive to
the airport for your flight back home.
