Days 1 - 2

Day 1: Arrival transfer to Bwindi National Park Upon arrival your guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel and begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home to the largest population of mountain gorillas and a haven for bird lovers, with rare species like the blue-throated broadbill and bar-tailed trogon. Settle in at your lodge and enjoy an early night to rest up for tomorrow’s exciting gorilla trekking experience. Accommodation: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing and to meet your guide. Led by an expert ranger, you'll begin your trek through the forest, learning about the gorillas and the surrounding ecosystem along the way. The hike can take 2 to 7 hours, but the reward is unforgettable spending one hour in close proximity with a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat Accommodation: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking - Departure After breakfast, head out for an exciting chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest, observing these playful and intelligent primates in their natural habitat. After the trek, begin your journey to Entebbe International Airport, arriving in time for your late-evening flight home.

Days 3 - 4

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through scenic tea plantations along the way. This rich tropical forest is home to 13 primate species including red Colobus, red-tailed monkeys, and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey as well as over 335 bird species, some endemic to the Albertine Rift. Arrive in the late afternoon evening, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner. Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp
